Tremco CPG: Supporting the Olympics 2024
As the world eagerly watched the Olympics 2024, Tremco CPG is proud to announce the significant contributions made by Tremco CPG France, in supporting the construction and development of key Olympic venues. Our advanced building materials have been selected to ensure the highest standards of durability, waterproofing, and safety.
Saint Denis Aquatic Centre
The Saint Denis Aquatic Centre, with its 5,000 seats, is set to host aquatic competitions in artistic swimming, diving, and the qualifying phases of water polo. To ensure the longevity and waterproofing of the façade joints, the Illbruck SP522 hybrid façade sealant was used. This product is renowned for its excellent durability, making it the ideal choice for such a high-profile venue.
Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre
The Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre is prepared to host water polo and rugby 7s training in a state-of-the-art 4,600 m² facility. For this brand-new space, we supplied:
- Illbruck TP600 impregnated foam: Utilized for the building's expansion joints.
- Illbruck ME111 membrane: Ensuring waterproof roofing connections.
- Nullifire FS702 fire-resistant sealant: Used for caulking fire-resistant joints, ensuring safety and reliability.
The Olympic Village
An emblematic site of the Olympics, the Olympic Village will welcome 23,500 athletes and their staff. Post-Games, it will transform into a vibrant community space with 2,800 new homes, a student residence, a hotel, and more.
To prioritize the comfort of future residents, particularly regarding thermal and acoustic insulation, the following products were chosen:
- Illbruck TP600 impregnated foam: Used for caulking exterior joinery and façade joints, providing exceptional insulation properties.
- SP522 hybrid sealant: Applied to façade joints for enhanced durability.
- TP300 joint base with Illbruck FS125, FA101, and FA107 sealants: Selected for various joint types, ensuring comprehensive coverage and performance.
These high-quality materials from Tremco CPG France have been integral in preparing these key venues for the Olympics 2024, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for such a prestigious event.
